The cottages and the 5 van Caravan Site closed for the foreseeable future in March as did the hospitality industry worldwide. And lockdown began I blocked the online booking diary for the cottages until September 1 st so no -one could book online. Yet its still blocked until then. Direct bookings – people have transferred their deposits for future stays – several are hoping for September – thankyou to you all for being so understanding in these difficult times. Other July and August bookings are hoping they can still come. (UK only ones) The same for caravan bookings – thank you. We are now starting to take bookings. On the CL from July 4 th but not taking deposits and we are saying wait and see what happens in the next few weeks – we probably will ask for a deposit once we know we can open for sure Cottages too but they are slightly more complicated as we can’t socially distance from you as much and they involve us going inside to clean before your stay after you have gone. We are awaiting government guidelines. Provisional ones have already been released with guidance on thorough cleaning wearing ppe etc. Increased provision of cleaning products for guests to use as well as ourselves. Removal of all brochures leaflets welcome folders etc. One suggestion within the hospitality industry is wash bags for bedding and towels. Its early days yet to know more all we can say is rest assured we will listen, we will take advice and follow all guidance and regulations We would love to welcome you back but only when we feel it’s safe to do so and when you feel safe and we will take all precautions One idea suggested is a 72-hour gap between bookings. That may be what we must do .. that might rule out weekend bookings as, yet we just don’t know Catherine and family
